Alchemy refers to ancient practices combining philosophy, mysticism, and chemistry. Historically, alchemists had a goal of transforming substances such as lead into valuable metal such as gold. They were also in search for the elixir of life to achieve immortality, and to discover the philosophers stone said to have magical properties.
Regarding symbolism, alchemy transforms something ordinary to extraordinary during creation of refinement. Abellala (Annabella of Lovely Alchemy), represents my art and how I create and transform raw materials into one of a kind, magical pieces.
